CLUBMARK REACHES THE EQUESTRIAN WORLD – TWO BEF MEMBER CLUBS REACH THEIR GOAL Grove House Stables in Doncaster and Nottingham Horseball Club are the first two equestrian Clubs to receive Clubmark Accreditation.

BANS FOR GREYHOUND SUFFERING Rebecca Hagger (20) and Rosemary Hagger (51) both received 10-year bans at Peterborough Magistrates Court on 28 April after previously pleading guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to three greyhounds and failing to meet the welfare needs of another four greyhounds. DECISION ON SNARING IN SCOTLAND WERE ANNOUNCED IN PARLIAMENT ON 20TH FEBRUARY Snares came under the spotlight in the Scottish Parliament when Michael Russell MSP, Scottish Government Minister for Environment, announced his decision on the future of these traps in Scotland.
It comes almost a year after the close of an official public consultation, which revealed a majority of more than 2:1 in favour of a total ban on the use of snares in Scotland.
